STOVE PROBLEMS
WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE
When your electric stove does not turn on, make sure it is plugged in and that the circuit breakers are turned on. For gas stoves check the pilot light. If these are OK, the trouble will be with the infinite switch, a surface element, the oven burner igniter or a bake and broil element. These are all quick fixes the same day that you call for help.
BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT
When your stove or oven turns on but will not heat up, give us a call. The oven won’t heat up when it has a broken bake element or the oven sensor is not working. Burners don’t heat up or turn on when the terminal block does not work, when an element is broken, or when the burner switch malfunctions. TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES
The control board on your stove is now working if the program or timer settings do not work. This part typically needs to be replaced. We carry control boards for major brands such as LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore and several other common brands of stoves and ranges. We provide a warranty for all of the control boards and other parts that we use when making this repair.
OVEN IS TOO HOT
When your oven overheats it burns the food. But, it is dangerous too. This happens when there is a broken thermostat or sensor. Our certified appliance technicians will determine the cause and fix the problem. This is an issue where you really need to call us and not try to fix it on your own as this problem is dangerous!
IGNITER WON’T LIGHT
Sometimes the stove igniter will glow but not light up. This happens when there is a broken safety valve, surface igniter, temperature sensor, or electronic control. We will come out the same day that you call, determine the cause and let you know if this is a problem we can repair or if you need a new part.
DOOR WON’T OPEN
A problem unique to some of the brand new self-cleaning ovens is that the door will not open at the end of the cleaning cycle. When you call us for help we will inspect the door seal, latch, and thermostat to determine the cause and then fix the problem the same day on a single visit.
